One step away from receiving PPP funds?

    gillianboyle Wayfarer

Got an email this morning saying I was one step away from receiving funds and just needed to sign my promissory note, signed in but nothing there to sign? I spoke with a BOA loan specialist who told me to sign in to my regular BOA banking and it should be there, but it wasn't? I feel like I'm on a wild goose chase, anyone have any help with this? Thanks

I had to click on the link from the email and log into my online account that has my personal and business accounts linked and then the promissory note showed up.  When I logged in without using the link it didn't show up, same when I logged in with my business only account.

          I hope that helps!

Were you able to find the note on the same day as you received the email? We received the email today at 9 am and used the link in the email but the note is not there.

                Anybody's input would be welcome.

I received an email on 4/30 around 9am that I had been assigned an SBA loan identification number.

I received another email on 4/30 around 7pm that I was "one step away" and needed to "Sing in to Small Business Online Banking using the same account credentials you used to submit your application."

I wasn't exactly sure what that meant but when I logged into my personal/business linked online account using the emailed linked around 8pm, I was able to sign the promissory note.

On 5/1 around 7:30am I received an email telling me my loan had been approved and I would receive the funds in 1-2 business days.  At some point later that day, the money was deposited into my business checking account.  Thank you BofA/SBA!

I hope this means you and everyone gets funded.

I have my emails on my Iphone, Ipad, and my computer. Saw on my phone the message " your step away" when I woke this am. After trying several links to my account , including from my computer, the only link that worked was directly from my email received on my computer.

I had to sign into my BofA account first, then I clicked the "sign your forms' button and it popped right up.

You may want to try disabling your pop up blocker?

This was great advice! After creating a separate log in to just my business account (unlinked to my personal account) for the purposes of receiving the "I'm ready" pop up, I hadn't tried logging into my linked accounts. Tried your suggestion, and sure enough the Promissory Note & Attestations popped up!

                        Hope this helps others!

Got the same email. However... I logged into Bank of America first. Then went to email and scrolled down to the bottom of the email and clicked the link that said "sign your forms". It took me right to the forms to sign. I assume based on reading other feedback on this thread that it helped that I was already logged in to Bank of America. We signed everything, but when I log into our Bank of America account I don't see anything that was signed, etc. Not sure where to see our copy.....I got a "submitted" when we were done, but where do you see your signed copy after submitting. I printed a copy prior to signing, but would like reassurance that the document was saved, sent and retrievable.

UPDATE:   I went back to email and clicked on "sign your forms" again and it took me to BofA sign on. I signed in and it said I had already taken care of it and submitted the appropriate documentation and then a paragraph of what to expect now. So....not sure how to see that by just logging in, but at least it was some peace of mind that it is taken care of.

Received same email this morning.  Had to follow link from email and then sign into my business account for the promissory note to appear.  Going straight to the BOA online site did not work.

Did you figure out how to get this document? I am wondering if you received another email with a link to sign the attestation. I am also in the same boat and still awaiting for next step. I would appreciate if you can please let us know...

Good morning y'all! I ran into the same issue this morning trying to get to the promissory note.  There's no strait link that I found when clicking the link provided in the email.

Here's how I finally got to the promissory note.

Open original email from BofA > click internal link > login using the same credentials as your BofA business login > go back to your email (preferably in a new tab > click on the link in email again > you should now be on the promissory note page > follow the instructions from there.

Have the best day and stay healthy and happy!

Instead of click on the "Sign your forms", you can work around by copy its hyperlink and paste it to your browser address bar. Hope this helps!

If you received the letter asking you to sign the attestation form and promissory note you need to open that email with Google Chrome. in my previous note I wrote Opera but that was my mistake. Use Google Chrome and when you click on the blue box at the end of the email it will open both documents.

                                          Thanks,Masoud Houshidari

Can anyone attest to the legitimacy of these emails? I am skeptical.  They seem to contradict the original steps/guidelines for this process which states that the Attestation & Promissory Note will be uploaded to your Intralinks account and you will complete the steps there.   I've heard of others in this forum stating a while back that they indeed received theirs through Intralinks.   Has something changed?  In another thread, someone stated that it changed, but their comment is "phishy" They provide a telephone number in their post and it is sketchy as well.  Can someone please chime in?  Thank you!

I checked several previous posts on forum and searched on reddit. People say it takes several days for BoFA to post promissory note and attestation document. SBA has also given lender 10 days time period for this step.

Initially BoFA seems to be sending this through interalink website, manual process i.e. sign document and upload again. But now they seem to have automated this process i.e. sending a link in email to login the account and eSign the document. It might take some days to get this email as BoFA has to go through a manual process of putting detail in everyone's account. We just need to be patient. Getting SBA loan number means that funds are reserved for us by SBA. But BoFA is understaffed that's why it is taken much longer time for them to proceed in next step. Hopefully we are good now since we have SBA loan number assigned to us.

BoFA has submitted almost 250k applications in past few days as per the yesterday's media news. They submitted 180k application in one shot on Monday because SBA allowed one time mass submission (> 5k per lender). SBA is approving all those applications at their pace. But eventually and hopefully all will be approved since it is already in SBA's system. BoFA seems to be understaffed to process and upload all those approved loan's promissory notes. We just need to be patient and understand their situation too....Hopefully we will see our promissory note email soon...

I also tried the link, signed into my business BOA account and could not find anything relating to PPP. Then I tried same account but using the regular BOA website to log in, same results.

I have a personal BOA account which is linked to the business account so I logged into the personal account an there I saw the questioneers to fill out. First I had to verify my Business and personal info. Then nothing else appeared. Then I logged out and back in and it asked me to verify again and then answer the PPP questions and certify. Completed the process and now a few hours later I have an email that I will receive the money in a few days.

Had the same problem - clicking on the big blue “sing form” - taking me to online banking and see no paperwork - and I was doing this on my iPad - using safari.

Then I went on my Microsoft PC - opening my email with Firefox - click the same “sign form“ blue square - and then this took me to the actual signing page.
