Lisa, you know - we all know what Steve is telling us. But summer comes and staff (and boss) want to take some time off and something always seems to get in the way and interfere with those plans.
Steve, as usual, gives great steps to plan for time off. Now all we, as business owners, need to do is to follow them.
Such a helpful article - thanks Steve and thank you, Lisa, for bringing it to our attention.
You're right, Cathy! Sometimes it's really hard to tear ourselves away from making sure everything is just right. That said, we all know we operate better when we take time to rest and recharge our batteries now and then. It's a delicate balance. Learning to manage this important step in running a business early on can be key to our overall long-term success.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts.
With the weather turning nicer and summer break for the kiddos either in full swing or right around the corner, it's natural that our thoughts start turning to vacation. But how do we make sure we can get away without letting all the balls we've been juggling fall to the ground? Steve Strauss has some important suggestions for us.
Do you have other experience or suggestions for making sure everyone gets some time off over the summer? Do you have similar scheduling issues during other times of the year?
Looking forward to hearing from you.
