    Buy an Existing Small Business

    kabira14 Newbie

Hi Everyone, I am Aslam from Pittsfield, MA. I would like to own a small manufacturing or engineering business/company, that
means I would like to buy an existing small business, how should I proceed? How
should I select a profitable business? It looks like I will have any financial issues.
Any experienced person here who can give me some guidance to buy small business
      with a less money strategy?

I will really appreciate your kind suggestions
      and help.

      Aslam

Hi Aslam, welcome to our community!   It's always exciting to think about owning your own business, and you've come to the right place to get some help to start that journey.  In choosing what type of business you want to own, I always suggest something that interest you is best.  The more interested and knowledgeable you are about your business, the more you will hopefully succeed.  The first thing you'll want to do it write a business plan.  If you're unsure how to do so, we have an excellent guide available that will be helpful in that process: Guide: How to develop a business plan.

It's also a good idea for anyone starting a new business to contact your local chapter of SCORE.  S.C.O.R.E is an organization made up of business executives and entrepreneurs, They offer free, confidential counseling and education on almost any subject that a small business owner may need.  They also provide mentoring for you and may be aware of various other contacts and funding outlets available for your business that you have not thought of.  For example, did you know there were special loans available for veterans, seniors, women and other groups?  Once you are assigned a mentor, they will discuss all the options available for you, and the paths to explore those options.
