    Taxes and Hurricane Irma?

    cpajoe Scout

Third quarter estimated taxes in the USA are due September 15. Partnership, S Corporation, estate and trust returns on extension from March 15 are due September 15. Watch to see if Hurricane Irma affects your location, as the Internal Revenue Service and your state and local government may respond to the storm and give you extra time to meet deadlines.

This is a very timely post, cpajoe!  It's extremely possible that these deadlines could be extended - at least for those in the affected areas.  It's definitely something to keep an eye on for those of our members preparing to submit 3rd quarter estimated taxes.

As always, I'd remind anyone who files quarterly taxes to check with their attorney and/or accountant for specific answers about their particular situations.

I hope everyone in the storms path, their family, friends & businesses come through the storm safe.

          Regards,
