              Virtual Assistants are business owners/independent contractors and not employees of a brick and mortar company. VAs have fully equipped home based offices. Clients are not responsible for any employee related taxes, insurance or benefits. Clients also avoid having to provide extra office space, equipment or supplies. A Virtual Assistant can be very affordable. You only pay for the hours a VA work for you plus when it comes to the cost of working with a VA, not all projects are billed by the hour. You will find that some VAs price per project or monthly retainer packages. Having a VA only when you need one whether its on a project basis only or 5 hours or more a month compared to having an assistant in the office on a full-time or part-time basis with not much work for the assistant to do and, at the same time, paying taxes, insurance and benefits on the assistant's behalf.
