I know we're almost in to Summer now, but the thought occurred to me as I was cleaning my desk today that Spring cleaning can also be beneficial for a business. Most companies go through and clean out the annual files for accounting, vendors, and the like, but some areas can be woefully neglected.
How do you stand? Does your email file still have contacts you no longer use? How about the office supplies cabinet? Have you ever been digging in the back of your supply closet or file cabinet and found supplies you didn't even remember buying, for example pens that have dried up, paper that's yellowed, or even accounting spiral notebooks or dot matrix printer paper? OK maybe not that old, but it could happen. Thoughts?
