    Gender Bias in the Workplace

    moderator_mel Tracker

One recent study found that companies today would hire a man with children rather than a woman with children. Businesses find that men with children are more likely to be stable and more responsible than women with children. Stereotypes show that men play the role of an ambitious and assertive employee while women assume the role of a more supportive and nurturing nature.

Does gender bias play a role in any of the companies you’ve worked? What suggestions would you propose to level the playing field? ~Moderator Mel
