Credit and Debit Card Trends Worth Mentioning

      A. People are using their reloadable debit cards as bank accounts. Increasing forces of over 23 million utilize these prepaid cards and the majority of users earn less than 50k annually. These cards are a popular choice because the users won’t overspend or incur overdraft fees. Once reloaded, these prepaid cards can be used just like a standard debit/credit card.

      B. More people are taking credit card debt seriously and reflect that by paying off their monthly balances. Again, age difference seems to determine debit/credit behaviors. For example, Millennials may use these cards for cash advances and then only pay the minimum balance whereas people over the age of 55 may only make necessary purchases and pay their invoices or the majority of those each month. ~Moderator Mel
