I have a corporation (corpA) that just acquired another corporation (corpB). CorpB has an existing bank account and credit card debt. How do I go about changing the EIN from CorpB to its new owners (corpA)?
I believe you have to do that through the IRS. Then you would have to show the paperwork to the bank. At least that's they way I believe it works. At any rate, I suggest checking with the IRS for exact directions.
