Steve begins his latest article: The Dos and Don’ts of Hiring an Intern by saying: "Small business owners love interns because they not only provide an extra pair of hands, but they are lively, eager to learn and can offer a fresh perspective on the day-to-day running of a business." Very often interns can add a fresh breath to your business but it just doesn't automatically happen.
He goes on to offer some excellent tips for the care and nurturing of your intern. The opportunity to mentor an eager young person should ring true for you. And the opportunity to have a hands-on learning experience is valuable for that intern. This should be a win-win opportunity for both you, your business, and the intern.
