I believe this is a question to ask your accountant. An accountant has a better grasp on current tax and financial information that you will need to make the best decision. You might also check with your insurance agent to see if you are even allowed to open a different branch under your current insurance policy. Some do and some don't. Good luck!
Thanks Melina. You are right...it makes sense to talk to my CPA since he is the one to put things together. I just wanted a quick answer since he takes a while to return my call.
I am incorporated as an LLC and been into government contracting/sub-contracting for a while. We recently decided to get/expend into the private/e-Commerce sector and setup a new business unit with different web domain/site. I have been going through various articles, talked (briefly) to a lawyer and much more....but still confused as to what kind of entity formation should I go for, for the new business - register just a DBA, create a Subsidiary LLC (under the existing LLC) or go for a completely separate and independent LLC?
Please help me out.
Thanks a lot for your help/response/comments in advance.
