I would like to open up a real brick and mortar store that appeals to the Etsy and Pinterest crowd. I want to sell goods like classic childrens books, wooden toys, unique hand poured candles, art prints, hand crafted paper goods such as cards and personal stationary. I would get my suppliers from Etsy and other local designers. I passed a store that sells knick knacks like these, and I knew I could be succesful at opening one. I'm interested in opening it in an artsy college town, where I think a gift shop like this would do fairly well. How do I begin the process of financing?
