    Are videos more effective when marketing your products?

      Market is changing everyday, so is marketing. Maybe a little late, but videos are getting my eys recently. It seems many companies are using videos as a marketing tool to introduce their products/services (A result of the YouTube popularity I guess?). Is it really more helpful for a customer to learn a product/service through video than pictures & text? Or it's more attractive becuse of the visual effects?


      To make what I'm talking about clearer, here's an example:


      My company made a video called "Live Chat Get Started" with similar content with the "How It Works" page. We've got similar numbers of visits to these two so far but I think there should be an answer for which one is better.
