I know not being able to offer people anything other then customer service may not seem like much, but a personal touch can mean a lot to a person. A good number of people may like the Facebook page or follow the twitter purely because the people staffing it are friendly. helpful, and give good advice. Sure you could also do some sort of giveaway now and then, something like bags or calculators with the logo on it, but personalized customer service is a great thing to have.
Also you could look at companies that help with that sort of thing, there are a number of them available.
Thanks for the advice everyone, I think we are going to do some giveaways for sure, maybe some after we get to 500 likes and every milestone after that. Maybe something like: "Tell us your favorite thing about our bank" And the best couple answers get a gas card or restaurant gift card. And I'm going to bring up sponsoring a charity/walk as Luckiest said or maybe some local kids sports teams. Thanks again.
Hello everyone, our bank wants to start a social media presence. We have a Facebook page and Twitter page, but I'm not sure how we can add value to our customers on Facebook besides customer service. I helped create the Facebook presence for a grocery store (my former employer) but a bank is not a grocery store. There are no $1 off coupons or deals to advertise. Does anyone have any suggestions for a bank's social media presence? Our bank is a national lender, SBA, Construction deals, real estate and personal banking.
