Welcome. You need an accountant
If you ask about "legal" you need a lawyer
You should contact a tax accountant, Marco. I would highly recommend hiring an accountant going forward. They know much more detailed information when it comes to EIC and corporate filings.
this one is tricky. if the money went to the S corp bank account, you need to be on the W2 and pay all necessary payroll taxes. if you didn't file the W2 nor paid the taxes on time, you will be subject to "large" penalties. Many states will also require you to pay for works comp and disability insurances. I don't recommend doing this yourself, rather get some help form a tax accountant.
I started an S-corp in the 4th quarter of 2010 and made only $9,000.
How can I report this info on my personal 1040 so that I can use it to claim the Earned Income Credit?
Can I just fill out a w-2 for myself? I never filed a w-4, don't know if I should have or was required to.
Is it legal to report it through a 1099?
Thank you so much in advance for any help
