Welcome to the forum.
Thank you for the networking tidbit.
I did notice however that you posted it twice which is unnecessary in this forum and as a matter of fact,
most members find it inappropriate.
Since you are new, I thought I'd mention it to you before someone reports it as inappropriate and you
could lose your privileges in the forum.
I looked at your profile. You are in advertisins and marketing. How long have you been doing that?
2008, welcome. Opportunities rarely occur when you most expect them to.
Boy Scouts motto BE PREPARED
So where are you going with this great piece of info??
Networking is key in building a business.
I agree that one must always be prepared. Each morning when I leave the house I ask myself are you ready for today's performance because today will be "Opening Night" for someone you meet/interact for the first time. They do not know your past performance and what you are about to accomplish. They are aware of the here and now and you must be prepared.
Just My Thoughts,
You're very right about always carrying business cards in your wallet! Murphy's Law...I run into an old pal from high school or college, old job at the train stop and it really stinks when all my cards are gone from my wallet! Then, you have to write your website link on a napkin and that's hardly a great first impression!
yvette - I noticed you placed the <h3> tag at the begining of your post.
It would be nice of the SBOC website allowed for simple html tags.
Previously they were allowing images to be posted in posts, but they discontinued this.
I was caught off guard once without business cards. I now have a small tote in my vehicle for brochures, CD's of my product line and product samples. I never leave home without them.
