Using Home address as business address

    helpinghand Newbie
I am looking to start up a part time service business to help the elderly in the evenings between 5-9PM and on Saturdays 8-5pm. What are the pros and cons in using my home address for my new start up business address? Is is better to use a PO Box or someother means?

It sounds like you have two potential issues: zoning and privacy.

Based upon the way you have your post written, I am assuming that you will not have customers coming to your house for the service you provide. If my assumption is inaccurate, then you will need to check with your local government as to if your location is suitable for both residential and commercial use under the zoning laws.

As far as privacy is concerned, I would recommend using a PO Box.

          I hope this helps.
