for a quick promotion I would partner with a coupon site like groupon.com, or yelp.com, they get a 50% commission so it doesn't cost at first.
I suggest the use of social media and SEO to promote your site and get more traffic. I hire a good boutique company who does this for me at a reasonable price. If you need a referral just PM me.
As Kacie says, SEO and promoting your site are things you need to do. You might trying allowing payments via Paypal too, that might help. Do you only sell in England though? Expanding your area of shipping might make it easier to get sales since you would then have a larger audience.
How can you improve sales.
How can you attract customers.
Well, it seems you offer a narrow range of products and services, christmas is a once in a year thing, you need to offer services that is in demand year round.
Try selling products and services that people NEED like food, shelter, clothes, energy.
Everything other then those 4 things named is not important.
If you want more sales, sell things people have to purchase to survive.
Yeah ,as others said, you still need do SEO to improve,or you can sell on some platform.
The site looks better than I expected and the product line is cute. How did your Christmas sales go?
You really need to be proactive in your marketing in order to bring a following to your site. The web is a very huge place, much like the universe, and your site is but a mere particle in that giant atmosphere. Customers are going to be drawn to what us in their line of site. If they don't see you and can't find you in a simple search, they won't come to you. You need to reach out and draw them in.
It is work and requires constant effort to keep the customer base flowing. As mentioned before, try SEO (Search Engine Optimization) to gain ranking in the major search engines so that your site comes up near the top of search engines for those searching your type of product or service. Back-linking, online marketing, blogging, joining related business forums and networking with the other members and/or starting joint ventures with related sites to exchange advertisements are all options as well. Look for Mommy Bloggers. They have kids and klout with consumers. They can be your best friend or your worst enemy. Submit articles about your products and services to article sites. Lastly, of course, is utilizing social media such as FaceBook & Twitter etc. and engage with potential consumers. People like to feel like you notice them, like you appreciate them and like they are more than a number or a sale. Having a facebook page that you never interact with or post on is counter-productive. Bring a warm, friendly presence to your social media accounts and the customers will come.
Best of luck to you!
