Used credit cards - when my business started to grow - switched to business credit cards. No problems but I know how to use debt to my benefit and not the lender.
Business Money Today
Used credit cards, refinanced our real estate and infused cash earned from another business. If we had it to do over, we'd have gone the route of the business plan and arranged business financing. Turns out that today, you can't refinance personal debt with a business loan even if the personal debt was incurred to build the business. We've learned a lot from our mistakes. It's harder to fix now than it would have been to do it right in the first place.
We're now 16 years old but it began by working the business on the side financing it through the back pocket. From there it sprouted and was self financed through jobs acquired and is still currently supported through jobs we receive. However I must admit before my time we had about $250,000 in debt that was taken out to pay for things and never repaid said loans...working on that :)
Credit cards are not such a good idea
Line of credit is a much better method
Even better than that is getting an SBA loan
