Hello Jojo, well, you don't say much 'bout yourself do you, makes it easier for us to help you if we know something about you.... life is a 2 way street don't forget.

My first piece of advice is, if you are thinking of sourcing off shore, be very very wary of so called suppliers offering you bargain prices on surplus items, especially ex China.

Second, read my post, today, under "CLASSIFIEDS" headed China Sourcing, the link there may be useful..... or not!
          Good luck.

Hello JJ, OK, OK, I read your other post, ha ha, and I actually meant detail in your PROFILE, but hey, it is a start!

I understand your situation, my basic comments still stand, be extra extra careful when dealing ex China, or anywhere, do your due diligence research / homework carefully, very carefully, check, then double check then check again. I don't want to repeat my classified post here.

My first thought is to try to source locally if you can, partly as it may be easier to begin with as, no offence intended, it seems you are not overly experienced or au fait with business and dealing off shore, and partly as the economic melt down has put a bit more power back in the hands of buyers at the moment so you may be able to negotiate a good deal if you have cash to put up. Also of course, it is always far easier doing business with those who have the same language and culture as us, at least as a first step and easier to develop a "relationship" based on trust.

So check out the local situation carefully first, sleep around and see what deals you can negotiate and think about more than just item or garment cost when comparing domestic and overseas suppliers. Of course I need to qualify my advice by saying I am China based, we specialise in helping FOREIGN companies get ahead here in China and avoiding pitfalls and bad deals, I don't have any experience or knowledge of starting a business in USA!

If you do decide to go down the China road and need advice, you can always Email me, details from my website in my PROFILE hehehe and I will see what I can do, I am a native British English speaker so our culture is similar.

I suppose you have done a business plan and have a marketing plan in place?

Lastly, back to my earlier comment re one way street, as and if you learn from this don't forget to "give back" to the community, put what you learnt in a post or an article so others can learn from you, that way we all grow stronger and wiser.

                  Good luck.
