    How does a new company without brand identity gain exposure for a product that can be  used by myriad industries?

      We have a new and innovative product that solves the problems of identity theft and privacy intrusion while shopping using a computer that is offline. It can be used across all industries to sell and promote products with different benefits for different markets. We are a start-up with limited resources trying to get people to our website. We have put press releases on the Internet and sent them directly to industry and general business publications but without identity for our brand, we're not driving people to our website.

      Short of a costly pr campaign, does anyone have any suggestions?
