When it the right time to approach a partner?

    MoveForward Scout

I have test marketed my concept, created a basic template website of the
concept, are overwhelmed by the responds and I need to now move forward
in contacting the right company who can benefit from my concept.

Example: Geek Squad, he worked it, perfected it and then tied in with
      BestBuy.

I am now at the point for contacting the tie-in company.

My concern, is having it stolen, the company running with the concept
or competion popping-up as word of mouth is now being to spread.

Whom within a company should I contact (Marketing Director, CEO,
President, etc) assuring I only contact the right person?

Should I perfect the WebSite (main concept product) or is it okay
      to approach them with this?

      Any thoughts?

Thank You for your mentorship time!

Moving Forward, You ask for thoughts.

OK, Everybody in business should have both an Accountant and a Lawyer.

Now is the time for you to talk to YOUR lawyer before you talk to "the tie-in co".

Good suggestion, one I did not think of.

I noticed you were with SCORE. The business that has
caught me off guard with success is a derivitative of a
business I successfull grew with the help of the Small
Business Administration, however when the recession
              began it effected my company.

I reg. with SCORE, had two responds but one was
clearly not doing well and was more or less
wanting to know how I did some aspects of my business.
The other was way above me and asked me to fill out
questions to assist him better, I did and hoped to have
him mentor me, but he did not respond. I was so hoping
for one mentor and requested him, but was denied.
When my SCORE questionaire came with comments I
told I still needed support and that was that
              (one year ago).

Thank you so much for your imput, I appreciate your
time. Keep supporting all those you do, they need you.
