Did you know you could rent QuickBooks software??
Yes Joanie, I did and some of my clients do rent the software. Do you use Q B??
Thanks for letting all of us know about the service.
There are actually quite a few accounting and operational solutions now available over the Internet. One such offering is Sage Accpac, which is hosted by Sage at one of their data centers. The fee is very reasonable (around $139/mo per user) considering you get a full-blown accounting and operational software with deep functionality unheard of in QuickBooks. Other offerings exist for these SaaS (software as a service) solutions; you need only search on Google.
I have been supporting and consulting QuickBooks since 1997 and I have never heard about renting the software "Legally". I also believe there is strict content in the terms when you install it that you can only install each single user on 2 computers, only one that you will be using and one that might be on a laptop or on a server. There is remote QuickBooks file hosting, and there are many companies that offer that however you have to have a valid license for it. If you are looking for remote file hosting in full and secure version of QuickBooks check out our service at http://www.qualityconsultingandbilling.com/Remote%20Hosting%20Services.htm.
Intuit has quote a legal department and they will pursue violators of their software policy.
InsynQ (www.insynq.com and www.cpaasp.com) is licensed by Intuit to provide hosting services for the QuickBooks desktop products. Under this agreement, InsynQ is also able to offer rental licensing for Pro and Premier versions of QuickBooks. The rental program is only available from a licensed hosting provider, and it is a very new offering. Visit www.cpaasp.com for more information, or contact our sales department at firstname.lastname@example.org.

QuickBooks Pro and Premier licenses can be rented on a monthly basis, allowing you to be at the most current version of the application at all times. The caveat is that you must be running the QuickBooks Pro or Premier license with a licensed hosting company, such as www.cpaasp.com. This service allows you to access your QB programs and data from anywhere at any time, and keeps all the data managed and secure. Is this something that might be of interested to many businesses?
