Prepare a BUSINESS PLAN explaining your plans to develop a successful business.
Part of the bus plan is MARKETING.
Have you thought of buying somebody else business??
Tell your clients that if they recomend a friend or a new client to you,
you will give them one or two free cleanings.
Residential accounts take luck and hard work.
Good luck, LUCKIEST
Referrals are one of the most powerful ways for you to grow your business. Have you asked your current clients for referrals? Be sure to let them know that you want to expand your business. Assuming that they are happy with your work, they will likely be very happy to refer you to other people. Good luck!
Word of mouth is a great way to drum up business. Give your current customers a discount or gift for referrals. Also consider putting up fliers in common places that people go to (like the supermarket and the
gym). You might also want to post on the bulletin boards of any nearby
businesses (ask the receptionist to do this). Business people often
don't have the time to clean their houses and have the money to get
someone else to do it. Make sure your flier gets the point across
quickly and stands out. If you can come up with a clever title, that
O.k. here goes. Ingredient #1 is Boldness. Not pushy but selling yourself at the right time.
Everybody is a prospective client or refereral when you have a marketable product.
If you're good tell em so. I started Window Washing years ago and took the small accounts that other folks passed on. It all pays the same per hour basically. I even told a small local biz that i'd do them for free just so they could see how good I was. Best Wishes. trapman

I have been cleaning residentially for 3 years. I have decided recently (4 months ago) to do this full time and make a business out of it. Now, I have 4 clients and I was wondering if anyone can give me any ideas on how to get more. Eventually I would love to clean for commercial accounts as well. Thanks for your responses.
