After returning from overseas and finding a job last year, I have found myself laid off earlier this year. After some careful consideration, I have decided to revitalize the family business, a mechanical services company in Central and Western NY, specializing in HVAC, as well as interior and exterior remodeling/repair. Unfortunatley, I have no idea where to start or what to do. The business, while in existance, has only handled on major contract, and while I can and have done the work, I have no idea how to handle the admin side of it, as I have always had an aversion to "red tape". All licenses and insurance is current, but other than that, I don't know what to do. My question is then, what do I ask/find out about the existing paperwork, and how do I get the business off the ground?
