    Payroll data entry into accounting software QB

      We are satisfied with our current payroll processing company and we want to improve our internal process for entering the payroll data into QuickBooks. We currently use "memorized transactions" for payroll entries that is time consuming and misses some data.

      QuickBooks wants us to purchase a separate Payroll product that would duplicate most of the work our payroll processor already does. Again, we're happy with our payroll processing company and we're not shopping around for an alternative.

      How do other companies who use payroll processors enter this data into their accounting software? Are you then able to to run payroll reports for Form 941?

      We're a small (4 - 6 employee) nonprofit in California.
