Setting the record straight on project funding

I have made only a few posts on this site, however what I am reading induces me to set the record straight.

Most private investors will not place a large sum of money in your Corporate Account. Typically what happens is an escrow agent is selected. That can be an attorney or some other independent third party that distributes the funds in accordance with a predefined agreement. There is the transparency that is needed to protect every one. The escrow agent then reports back to the investor, the entrepreneur reports back to the investor by way of financial statements and accountability is established.
