Invoice statue of limitations, Welcome
Ask your Lawyer
My clinet went through this with a vendor who when presented the invoice, we paid. Eighteen months later they came back wtih another 7500 (or so) additional money owed AFTER an internal audit. (right).
It was not pretty. My client was totally furious. The lawyers settled it.
It depends on what state you're located in, on what the original contract/agreement said regarding terms of payment, and what type of products or services were being invoiced. Depending on those factors, it could range from two years to twenty -- and it could also be possible that the clock didn't start running until "recently" when they contacted you. As already suggested, an attorney can give you the best answer for your specific situation. Good luck.
