Talk to your CPA, a financial advisor only wants to sell you something to make a commission and your attorney fees in this case would be high. Your CPA will have all the answers you need. Good luck!
Need suggestion to start a new medical practice
Welcome, Also talk to SCORE. SCORE is FREE both in person or online
Our suggestion would be to contact your attorney or if you rather do it yourself; http://www.legalzoom.com/ has a good reputation. We did not have a big budget when we started our business and we used: http://www.amerilawyer.com/ we were able to speak with their attorneys and had all of our paper work including state filing fees and tax ID number for a nominal fee. We have no regrets and even told one of our clients about them and they had similar results.
In regards to your consulting needs, make sure the firm or group you use understands your business needs. This would eliminate the guess work factor and lend validity to services provided. If you need any additional assistance please let us know. Best regards.

I am planning to start a medical practice in NYC. Is it better to start it as PC or PLLC or LLC? If its better to open as one of these do I need to register it with NYSED? And to proceed with it, who should I talk to, a Certified Financial Consultant or Certified Accountant or an Attorney? Thanks.
