Sales leads

I am currently looking for a good source of leads for a direct mail campaign. The leads should be specifically related to customers who are moving.

Have you tried SalesGenie.com? I don't endorse them, but I hear them advertising all the time.
You have to be careful when buying mail lists that you are dealing wth reputable company selling fresh accurate names, not old obsolete garbage.

Thanks for the input. Sales Genie does not offer the types of leads I need. I've found a number of providers, but, I'm looking for somethinig a little more organic. A lot of these are being sold to countless competitors and others are worthless.

I'd say be really, really careful about buying leads for your email marketing list. The new contacts might not be expecting you to contact them - or worse, they might not want anyone to contact them. We've all got to be ultra-careful about spam these days.

A better way is to go for an opt-in approach where online visitors have the option to share their details with you. That way they will be expecting to hear from you - they've given their permission.

As for finding relevant customers, that can be the really interesting part. Where do your customers spend their time? Do they visit certain forums and can you start to use those too? How about finding them on facebook or twitter and gently pointing them to your website and opt-in page? Just a couple of ideas. Good luck.

We're talking about two separate issues here.
Constant Contact sends out emails. But first, you have to get a mail list---Constant Contact doesn't do that. You either have to compile your own , or buy one from Sales Genie or the like.

You can obviously buy leads - however, be careful where you get them from. In my experience, this industry is riddled with scammers. I've had good luck buying leads from:

http://www.buyerzone.com and decent luck with http://www.dnb.com

You can also try outsourcing your sales generation requirement to skilled professionals. Post your project on

    http://www.elance.com, http://www.peopleperhour.com, http://www.freelancers.co.uk or http://www.outsourcemyproject.com

You can also try running affiliate marketing for your business.

email-list.com is has a decent reputation, but it seems like you always have to account for the fact that 5%-10% maybe even 20% of the contacts you get are going to be worthless.  Email list is good because they come in CSV form that is ready for email campaigns and they have most of the contact info you may need like, name, city, state, email and phone number.
