Do you have any useful skills that someone might be in need of (ie web development, writing, etc.)?

You can always go freelance __

I started a homebase web and software development company 3 months ago and I already made $15k... I sure my profits and saves will double in the next 3 months.

Hi, there! Recently, I too decided to start researching home-based businesses...I was a bit skeptical about finding anything since I had tried in the past to find something worth investing time and money in. I ended up purchasing quite a few ebooks that were supposed to teach me how to start up my own business. Many of them were really helpful; however, the one that jumped out at me the most was Plug-in Profit Site. It was a very straightforward approach to starting multiple streams of income which is really the way to go with an online business. You don't want to put all your eggs in one basket so to speak, so it's always good to have money coming in from more than one source. If you would like to check out this website for yourself, you can go to www.pluginprofitsite.com/main-21372 . They provide very helpful information that might prove useful to you. I'm sure there are many other good ones out there as well, but they can be difficult to find with so many scams out there. I was so thrilled when someone recommended this website to me, so I just wanted to pass along the information. I discovered that they provide excellent step-by-step instructions on how to make your business a success, and they always respond to my questions in a very timely manner. I hope this helps you in your quest to find a online business that will work for you and your family...To your success!

jen1234, Welcome to this web site.
    Do you know about SCORE??
Things you need to know when starting a business.

    Plan Ahead.
People often ask me why bother with a business plan? Look at the
lottery as an example. You may get lucky and get the winning ticket,
but the odds are against you when you rely on random chance. I'm a risk
taker...but not that much, minimize the risk of going into business and
maximize your potential for success. Take the time to write a plan of
how you get from point A to point B. A plan gives you a clear future
focus and increases your chances of success.

The first rule of a start-up is put some of your own money in the
business. As the owner you must be willing to capitalize the business.
The second rule is put as little of your own money as possible in the
business. Prepare your plan and look for funding for your business from
multiple sources, which can include a business loan or business line of
    credit.

Don't go it alone. Plan ahead now to build your team. Your team may
include a CPA and an attorney that you work with as needed. Add a
mentor from your industry and get a SCORE mentor to help you plan for
success. No one has all the answers. You get more ideas and information
by building a success, support team that can help you plan ahead.

    Set up Systems.
The most basic system every business should have is a good financial
system. Ask yourself how am I going to generate enough income to
support myself and my family. Begin here. Put together a personal
budget, so you know what it costs you to live. Now, you can move on to
the business budget and sales planning, so you can see how many sales
you need to break even and make a profit. The start-up expense plan,
operating budget and your accounting software are vital to your
    success.

    Seek out Sales.
The daunting question is how do you go about seeking out your first
sale. Recognize that since you don't have a big ad budget to be seen by
everyone, you need to target a niche and get connected in your market
community, be it local, regional or national. You need other people
selling for you-not employees-goodwill referrals. Get out and talk to
as many people as you can. Join organizations that would have clients
for your product or service. Become a visible part of your market, and
then ask for the sale. You begin the sales process with people that you
know. Yes, it's okay to start with friends and family as your first
customers, and then broaden from there.

    Aim for Growth.
The basic tenant of creating a company is that you own the company. You
are not just creating a job for yourself. It's less risk and less
investment to get a job. Building a business is creating a company that
is more than the job itself. Think about the future. How large do you
want the company to be in terms of sales, net profit and employees?
Your answer to each of these questions will influence how you grow.
There are varying costs and profits associated with growth. It's
important to make a deliberate choice early about how you want to grow
    your company.

    Leverage Opportunities.
Good luck. Good fortune. Good timing. All play a part in business. As a
business owner, be very clear about your core focus for the business
and how it serves clients. Your core business is what pays the bills.
Then, as an entrepreneur you are about opportunity. When you see a
potential opportunity or stroke of luck measure it against your core
business focus. Good fortune is great, when it matches your vision for
the business. Always consider if a good opportunity is the right fit
for your business. If something looks great, but it's not in sync with
your long-term plan and budget, think carefully before committing your
    company's resources.

Take advantage of good opportunities that make sense for you long term.
A perfect example is McDonalds. Ray Krock started a small business that
became a large franchise network with a consistent product, consistent
systems and an ability to seize opportunities such as the Arch card and
offering healthy salads to meet the interests of today's consumers.

Then there is SCORE. SCORE Is FREE

I would agree with you all about MLM - I have seen everything and because I own a "brick and mortar" location, they also try and push their products in my store to help them sell whatever product they may have.

However, the best one that I have found in which also helps ME because I love to travel and because the travel industry is a $7 billion dollar industry - i personally chose this one for myself as I can book all my travel - make commissions off my own bookings and because I am now a Referring Travel Agent - I can write off all my vacations on my tax return (great for a business owner)

You guys are free to check out my site as well as the Business Presentation.

www.apristinevacation.com - feel free to book any travel with me =) AND if you also love to travel and afraid of the higher airline prices - click on flights and then scroll down to the bottom and click on YTB 2 FLY FREE program and read about it.

I always say...no one gets a free lunch...

Don't think you can make a ton of money by just getting an internet connection..unless you want to get arrested for porno or fraud.

Find a nitch...I did...but it is high tech, took a lot of hard work, and expensive to get in...but after I got in....well..it is GREAT!

Hi, there! I'm glad you asked about Plug In Profit Site, because it is by far the best program I've found so far for newbies like myself. I have always been fine emailing and researching things on the net, but the whole MLM world and network marketing was definitely foreign territory to me. I was looking for something that would give me all the information I needed and then some. Like I mentioned before, I bought several e-books but found Stone Evans' Plug In Profit Site to be exactly what I was looking for. You asked if it is working for me, and I would have to say yes, it is. I've started out very slowly, and I'm definitely learning as I go; but I'm finally starting to make some sales. I haven't even implemented all of the strategies that Stone Evans provided either. Now, am I even close to having a full-time income? No. But from the research I've done, it is within reach if I keep at it and continue to learn. I have found that whenever I've had a question, his team is very quick to respond. I have found him to come through with what he says he will do as well which is extremely important to me. For example, when you sign up through his program, he states that he will set up a website for you for free. He did this within 24 hours just as he promised. I was quite impressed. (If you're curious to see the website he set up for me, you can go to www.profitsandbeyond.com...this is exactly what yours would look like too since I haven't really personalized mine yet...) (By the way, I realize you don't know me personally; but I am not the type of person that recommends anything unless I know it has proven its viability to me. I've wasted too much money on disappointing products myself. I wouldn't wish that frustration on anyone...) I'm not sure which of Stone Evans' programs you tried before...Plug In Profit Site was my first encounter with him, so as far as why it didn't work for you, I wouldn't be able to say. What I do know is that he's always trying to improve on the knowledge he provides. Even since I've been a part of his program the last few months, he's already added new information. He certainly seems to stay on top of things. I think my one piece of advice (such as it may be) would be to find the necessary tools you need to realize your goals. For me, the tools I've chosen is Plug In Profits. For you, it might be something completely different, but either way, it does take determination and perseverance. I'm sorry for the lengthy response to your question...I wasn't really sure what information you were really looking for, so hence the "book" I just wrote... Seriously though, if you or anybody else reading this thread is really just looking for some basic information on internet businesses and you don't want to spend a cent, Stone Evans does provide a wonderful e-book called Dotcomology that is completely free. You can find it at http://www.pluginprofitsite.com/main-21372/dotcomology.html. I hope this information proves useful. If you want to discuss this further, please feel free to shoot me an email at sauter.jennifer@gmail.com. I definitely welcome any thoughts or advice you might have regarding this topic...

Not that you would want to do this as your primary business, but my wife are with a MLM company called MonaVie. I wouldn't say we make a ton of money, but the little extra a week sure is nice. It might be something to consider since you don't have to carry an inventory. http://www.mymonavie.com/naturessuperfrui
t If you have questions on how it works, just let me know. They also have a income disclosure statement which is nice so you can see what your earning potential can be.
