Here in the US we're celebrating Independence Day on July 4. Because the holiday occurs on a Wednesday, the whole week has taken on a holiday air.
Some people have a new meaning for Independence Day: a reminder that we're lucky to have choices about the way we live and work.
But what does "independent" mean today?
Recently I was talking to someone about shifting to from corporate employment to business. He was particularly surprised when I talked about
the new model of independent business ownership.
The new business story is about choosing your community and your role in that community. It's about refusing to let anyone tell you,
"You've asked a dumb question." It's about realizing that the best solution to a problem is often something you'd never find on our own.
Thanks, Luckiest! I hope all our members have a safe and enjoyable 4th of July.
