I'm very sorry to hear about your accident and inability to work for a short time. Did you have your own insurance policy for your company? I realize you are a sub-contractor, but you should still have some kind of insurance on yourself.
If you have a policy, please check with your agent to see if there is any kind of coverage in it for loss of work. If there is, you can file against that to help you out some. Again, I'm sorry that this has happened to you.
No, I never bought any insurance on myself (my bad) except minimum health insurance, I just could not afford it. If I would be able to return to my business, I would start shopping around. But now I am left as is.

Check your car insurance policy or better yet call your agent. Many auto insurance companies have fees that are allotted to you in case you cant work (but that does depend on how your policy was written). That sum is also very minimal (but some is better than none). Good luck to you.
