Craig Parker Aug 20, 2012 3:39 PM (in response to Moderator Jim)I don't think this matters in the least. If this helps to stop people from designing websites in flash, it's great. How to replace Flash and Silverlight with HTML5 | TechRepublic
That's an interesting article and to me explains why Flash (and Silverlight) are certainly NOT the way to go these days.

Moderator Jim Aug 24, 2012 9:13 AM (in response to Craig Parker)Hey, Flash isn't ALL bad. Early flash programming showed me the fundamentals of timeline animation and it made it easier for me when I switched to a more powerful (non-flash based) program for my hobbies.

Adobe has announced that Flash will be discontinued for Android starting with the Jellybean release. This includes existing installs where you upgrade to flash.
Since for many, one of the key advantages to Android devices was that it supported flash web sites that the ipad didn't support, is this a big blow the the Android ecosystem?
Love to hear your thoughts!
