Your Answer: Ground Floor Communications
Question: Where is your business located (city & state)? Who are the customers you serve? What products or services does you company provide?
Your Answer: Everywhere, but physically in WV. We offer mobile applications and are focusing on the US to begin.
Question: When did you start your business? Why did you decide to start your own business?
Your Answer: August 5,2014. Small business is priced out of the market and we felt that is unfair. Since mobile applications are so prevalent and taking over the mobile market, we wanted to offer a way for small business to be able to enjoy the benefits of a mobile application.
Question: Did you quit your "day job" to start your business? How did you initially fund your business?
Your Answer: Yes, I am using family and friends money. I graduate with a degree from WVU studying Physics, after which I have worked full time on this project.
Question: What has been the biggest challenge in running your company?
Your Answer: Surprisingly, many don't know what an application is, let alone what can be done with one.
Question: What’s been the biggest opportunity that came from owning your business?
Your Answer:The size of our target market is amazing and so diverse. We feel good that we are offering this to the large market we are. If they are all signed we can actually effect the economy from the bottom up.
Question: What has surprised you most about being your own boss?
Your Answer:The amount of work, I knew it was going to be there, but it is a lot and definitely noticeable.
Question: What’s the best piece of advice you could give to other small business owners?
Your Answer: GET A MOBILE APPLICATION, you will be left behind and the large corporations will steal your customers. The customer prefers the mobile accessibility and mobile app is much more important than any other aspect of your mobile strategy.
