We service clients from around the world. From our launch in 2011 we have now serviced clients in America, Asia, Europe, Africa, & Australia.
We service any individual or business that is looking to boost their image on the internet or those who are looking to remove negative, defaming, or offensive material that is currently online.
We provide a suppression service where we can push down unwanted search results.
A consumer advocacy program where we use legal methods to deindex search results.
A profile alerts system that tracks what is being said about you on the internet and alerts you as you are talked about on Twitter, Facebook, and news websites.
Branding service that builds out a protective layer of relevant material online to help advertise your company.
Question: When did you start your business? Why did you decide to start your own business?
Your Answer: We started in January of 2011. It was not planned. We were referred one client who heard that we could do suppression services and used the profits from that to create a website. From there we started to receive clients from search results and referrals. In less than a year we turned $500 into over six figures.
Question: Did you quit your "day job" to start your business? How did you initially fund your business?
Your Answer: I was in school to receive an accounting degree and when things started to take off I decided to take the next semester off. It is telling that if I go back to finish my last 6 classes that I have failed in my business.
Funding was derived from our first client and we bootstrapped from there.
Question: What has been the biggest challenge in running your company?
Your Answer: Scaling. A few companies have tried to scale in the online reputation management business but none of them have successfully done so as you are constantly battling Google's algorithm.
Question: What’s been the biggest opportunity that came from owning your business?
Your Answer: The business connections have been wonderful. We find that almost every single business and individual can use our services in one form or another. The question is never if you are going to be attacked online but when?
Question: What has surprised you most about being your own boss?
Your Answer: The freedom that we have but at the same time the requirement of having to still work very long hours.
Question: Is there a success tactic you’d like to share that could help other business owners (i.e. implementing new software, tactic to grow sales, etc.)?
Your Answer: Organization is very important. We prefer Google products and software for their seamless integration and ease of use.
Question: What’s the best piece of advice you could give to other small business owners?
Your Answer: Don't be afraid and don't follow the book. The book is my theoretical "book" that people tend to get hung up on the little details that don't matter. Get the business going, make sales, turn a profit, and worry about the other stuff after that.
