Your Answer: North Miami, Florida. I serve small businesses and individuals. I provide legal services in the areas of business law, real estate law and immigration.
Question: When did you start your business? Why did you decide to start your own business?
Your Answer: I started my business March of this year. I decided to start my firm because I saw a real need, that small business owners had, to receive business legal advice they could afford.
Question: Did you quit your "day job" to start your business? How did you initially fund your business?
Your Answer: I did quit my firm job to start my own law firm. I am funding my business through loans and personal savings.
Question: What has been the biggest challenge in running your company?
Your Answer: The biggest challenge running my firm has been separating my personal life from my work life. Since I love what I do now, I can't stop working.
Question: What’s been the biggest opportunity that came from owning your business?
Your Answer: The biggest opportunity from owning my own business has been to meet so many interesting small business owners with admirable visions and goals.
Question: What has surprised you most about being your own boss?
Your Answer: How fun it is.
Question: Is there a success tactic you’d like to share that could help other business owners (i.e. implementing new software, tactic to grow sales, etc.)?
Your Answer: Aim to be paperless as much as possible and backup all of your data.
Question: What’s the best piece of advice you could give to other small business owners?
Your Answer: Seek the advice of a business lawyer to decide what is the best entity to form, grow your business, and protect it.
