Procrastination -- How to Overcome It

Version 3

Procrastination - How to Overcome It

The quickest and easiest way to overcome procrastination is to set one simple goal for yourself and work on that. You can add others later as you develop more self-confidence.

I hate to say this but, if you are not yet as successful as you'd like to be, maybe what's been holding you back is not circumstances or lack of opportunity, but YOU?

    Here's an interesting question:

"What would you like to do or be if you knew you couldn't fail?"

Write that down whatever it may be. Do it right now!

    Now ask yourself this question:

*"*What three things could I do today to help me become the rich and successful person I always dreamed I might be?"

So what are they? Write them down. Example:

    Three Things to Do Today

    1..........................................................................................................

    2..........................................................................................................

    3..........................................................................................................

The next step is to *renumbe**r them in critical; order of importance.*

Then, start on number one and finish it before moving on to item number two. And so on.

If, at the end of the day one of your goals has not been completed, simply carry that over and add it to tomorrow's list!

When, at the end of a week, you look at the list for each day, you will be truly amazed at how much you have managed to accomplish! Maybe 15 to 21 things you might otherwise not have done?

    Success breeds success.

The tremendous feeling of accomplishment you experience will motivate and drive you on from one success to another and then another.

Even if each daily success is relatively small, at the end of a week, or a month, you will inevitably find that a lot of little successes have added up to one huge success!

Simply by making a daily, "Things to Do list," and then doing whatever you can to complete each task, you will have added a whole new direction and a dynamic purpose to your life.

*In the process, and with no great effort on your part, will have magically gone fr**om the being a procrastinating,* indecisive and underachieving person, to becoming infinitely more successful in the shortest possible time. Go for it! Do it now!

*|"The sad truth is that opportunity doesn't knock twice.

You can put things off until tomorrow but tomorrow

may never come. What will you be a few years down

the line? Will it be everything you dreamed of? We

seal our fate with the choices we take and those we

    don't take." Gloria Estepan
