As small businesses face considerable financial pressure during the COVID-19 crisis, Facebook is taking steps to provide financial support for business owners.

 

Facebook said it will provide $100 million in grants and ad credits to up to 30,000 small businesses located in over 30 countries aimed at the following goals:

 

  • Keeping workforces going strong
  • Help with rent
  • Helping to connect with more customers
  • Cover operational costs

 

Applications to participate in the program will be open in the “coming weeks,” according to Facebook’s website. Small businesses can sign up to receive updates on the program and be among the first to verify their eligibility and apply for the grants and credits.
