BeenthereB4;

Did you attend the seminar in Dallas yesterday, 4/7/09? I do clearly realize that it is hard for this program to be everything every attendee wants it to be, but there are few happy buyers in this forum. It is hard for leopards to change their spots. $3500 is a strong investment in any business climate.

Thanks.

yes we did attend his Dallas seminar. he is an impressive presenter and seems knowlegable about selling to the gov't. the 3 day course probably teaches some good material as well but I bet they will be upselling you on something else to complete the puzzle - private mentoring, some exclusive tool or website that gives you exclusive access to contracts, factoring training so you can send Sun Capital some more business, etc.. I would rather talk to someone in the DFW area who has signed up and gone thru the 3 day course before. I would pay them a fee to hear what they learned and watch them execute some of these bids/contracts. if it looks good and is working for them, then I may pay Mr. Steinberg for his course.

What type of business are you in? Do you know if the government has a need for whatever you have to offer? Have you tried working with your local SBA? Do you have the time to put RFP's together? How many years have you been in business?

The Stimulus Bill has quite a bit of construction, renovation, and repair.in it. Go to Fed Biz Ops (www.fbo.gov) and there is a button to search these bids that are current. Good luck! Ted Erlwein

Thanks for responding, I am a plastering contractor (stucco), We have been in Business for 15 years in San Antonio, The bases around here are all either renovating existing buildings or constructing new ones. I am currently working at two bases as a sub-contractor two tears down from the prime contractor. They are impressed with our work and I am looking at following them around the United States on other bases. I would rather do work locally. I don't know if I have any advantage of being the prime contractor and Teaming with some one. Alot of questions and not much time to decide if B2G is the best way to spend my money or go with a consultant.

Weigh you options and interview a few consultants. I use Dustin Keith out of Florida. He is VERY attentive but will only take companies that have a chance of getting contracts. He also takes a commission on the bid if you get it. Based on what you have said, he probably would work with you. Do an internet search and see if there is one out there that specializes in getting contracts in your line of work.

Hi PalenciaGirl, my name is Mat and am getting ready to take the b2g course in San Antonio are you still positive about the course? Are there enough people to support your questions and help you after the 3 day seminar? I am looking in to finding some consultants as well. If you get a chance I would like to hear from you. Mat

E-Mail me how to contact you. I can give you specific help with government contracting. I have over 15+ years in contacting with both large firms and start-ups. I will provide an hour of free consulting time to answer specific questions you may have prior to your investing in a course.

Thanks,
