It's a good ebook, especially for people who are in MLN or MLM. I actually own two such businesses now but chose businesses that could work well in conjunction with the other. Both times, my uncle, who saw them first, simply wanted my insights (Is this business something that would genuinely help people?) with the first being a "no brainer" because I'd been in the industry and already used some of the basic concepts for decades. To this day, I still remember precisely which two names came into my mind immediately with neither being a friend, relative, or business associate. Both were previous individuals who had been in a position where they needed someone who knew "the rules" and wanted to share with them how both they and the company where I was working at the time (15+ years earlier) would both benefit. One individual was a single parent with three school-aged daughters and the neighbor of a married couple with whom I'd attended college; the other was a business owner.... Still, I wanted a second opinion with other relatives (one is has been self-employed both out of his home and in a "brick-and-mortar" business over the years with the other individual having not only been an administrator but also serves on both college board of directors and an industry board of directors) whose feedback and insights I valued.

To make a long story short, LUCKY who is with SCORE and oldtimer both repeat much of the same insights and feedback as both individuals whose feedbacks and insights were sought in the first home-based, MLN business. On the second business, it's more for repeat, use as one needs basis although the competition is fierce and competative. It's good competition, meaning that people have several different but similar options with price differences and services being a small factor when it comes to which option "works best" for that particular individual.

A lot of people in MLN and MLM get so "caught up" in commission structures and who endorces what that they quickly forget that they now have a business to run and, with it, all of the duties and responsibilities of owning and running their own business. I actually enjoy helping people with their businesses because it's fun, it's challenging, and I know that I'm always going to win. How? I might "actually learn something that I didn't already know" and do learn at least one technique, skill, or invaluable insight more often than not.

Perhaps this reason is why LUCKY and oldtimer provide much needed insights and feedback so selflessly. It's a positive reward in and of itself. Regardless of what type of business one might pursue, the key is that learning something new almost every day is one reward (or challenge, struggle, obstacle, etc.) that every business owner must face. That's just part of owning a business.

Again, great post and good book that you mentioned.

Have you tryed going either to the library for books on the subject or something near the subjet; or jog on down the street to Barnes and Noble, enjoy a Mocha while enjoying a book on small business.
Hope you find something that you can get started with.

There are a lot of home based businesses out there that offer great opportunities. Believe it or not, with the proper planning, system, & execution, you can be successfull at each and every one. There is one company imparticular that I have partnered with that provides a very lucrative compensation plan. My partners & I have developed a system that if followed and executed can put $1,700 in your pocket for work done in month 1 & upwards of $60k in your pocket for month 2. I am currently looking for a few more solid individuals that are coachable & have the energy to grow this business fast.

No get rich quick scheme. Requires work, but no cold calling, selling etc. By the way, you won't need that $1,000 as your initial investment. Try roughly $230 if we can get you going before Oct. 20th.

I don't normally give presentations over the phone, but am willing to discuss & give additional information.

Let me know if you are interested in learning more.

The operative word in your subject line is "business." You can be self-employed from home or you can run a business from home. I learned the difference when I read "Rich Dad, Poor Dad." You are a student, a payroll administrator and and web designer...there is 24 hours in a day. I suggest you take one hour each day and read "Rich Dad, Poor Dad" and then begin to think about business opportunities or possibilities, or else you are going to run yourself into the ground wearing all these hats.
