Here we go again. I answered two requests this morning. Real simple and real short.

Both messages go the "Your thread will need to be approved by a moderator before it will be posted in the forum."

WHY?? LUCKIEST

Maybe the moderators are trolling for aliens! Happens to me all the time.

Oh Oh last two comments 'moderated'. They either think I am an alien or they don't like my sense of humour.

You have to make a choice between letting spammers destroying this forum or accept a lag time for thread or post approval by a moderator.

I prefer to participate in a spam free forum and wait a little that the moderator check the thread/post.

The community team would like to take a moment to comment on some of the discussions related to member content being held for moderation. We have been taking a very proactive approach to the complaints and suggestions which have been noted by our members. If your post has been held for moderation it's more than likely due to some automated and/or manual protocols that we have in place. These protocols have been established to help protect the community. While we understand that any delay in content posting to the site may be an inconvenience, we believe that it is in the best interest of all community members. We will make every attempt to minimize moderation impact, in terms of frequency and lag.

Thanks,
SBOCTeam

This seems to be happening more often. Did something change in your protocols? I have 33 posts on the site; of the first 30, only 2 were held for moderation. Of my last 3 posts, all 3 have been held. This is not a huge problem or anything, but its just weird that it is happening so often as of late. On the other hand, I very much appreciate a site where I can come and share and learn without having constant spam. Its a mixed blessing.

Your thread will need to be approved.

Thank you SBOCTeam for your reply and yes I agree that it is possible to trigger "some automated"
word or Capital that you have in place, which then sends the tread to be approved.

In all fairness, (most of the time) the post does appear later on.

As far as me personally, my replies are somewhat shorter.
