Being an ex banker... Pre-Paid Legal is a horrible culprit of charging their clients unauthorized charges.
Be warned if considering their services.

You may need to hire a lawyer to collect your money for you. If the amount is less than $5,000 then you can always take them to small claims court but then you still may have problems getting your money unless you go on Judge Judy or something.

1) send them a certified letter stating that they have 7 days to get you the cash, post office money order or certified bank note (not check) or you will take legal action. Keep a copy of the letter and staple the postal receipt to it.

2) if they are a business, and don't pay, contact the better business bureau.

3) contact your counties prosecutor. If they've done this to others, they may file charges. If not, they might be able to give you some other things to do.

4) I don't understand why you didn't get your cash before you took your tools out of the truck. Can you say more?

I have been a pre-paid legal client for many, many years without problems. If you have that service, contact them and/or ask them to write them theif a letter. They do that for free.

They will always tell you when somethign will cost you money, becuase it's not covered under your policy.

By the way, there's some good search directories available for you to use for any concerns. Look at http://prepaidlegalplans.myfreesearch.net which is pretty good. We've also seen many postings at http://prepaidlegalplans.1-family.com Enjoy.
