Who We Are As a third generation company, Phoenician Arts leads the world in its creation of the most innovative marble mosaic design. From its beginnings as a local business focusing on reviving one of the oldest human art form, Phoenician Arts has been at the forefront of the mosaic art industry, characterized by a strong entrepreneurial spirit, an ability to adapt to the evolving market, and a readiness to explore modern concepts and designs. Phoenician Arts prides itself in creating fully handmade mosaics from all natural marble and semi-precious stones, based on the same techniques used by the Greek, Romans and the Byzantinians. Thus, the color of the tiles remain intact over time, regardless of weather and will last for generations. Our Workshops are located in the biblical land of Lebanon, known for its rich history of the Phoenician people, the "Cedars of Lebanon" and the presence of the Roman and Ottoman Empires for many generations. Phoenician Arts currently retain over 85 talented artists capable of creating unique artistic pieces and reproducing any illustration related to various subjects from ancient mythology to modern themes. We provide customized pieces at very competitive prices based on client’s needs if requested. We have specialized in figures and scene themes, and have been able to reproduce the most complex mosaic scenes originally created by the Romans and which can still be found in Tunisia and other famous archeological sites. Our Creative Process: Each tessarae is hand cut to the necessary size, shape and shade. They are then skillfully positioned on nylon mesh, adjusted and secured, producing an artistic composition that will be treasured for generations. With over 85 talented artists creating mosaic in our workshop, we pride ourselves in having a family that believes in this form of art and embraces the history and beauty of Mosaic making. Shipping and Installation: We ship all mosaics via DHL Express. You should expect your shipment in 3-5 business days if in stock. We will send you a tracking number once your piece has been shipped. Shipping Cost via DHL Express is approximately $2.75 per pound inclusive of handling and insurance fees. For bulk order, we can arrange other means of shipment. Please email us for details. Our web site provides some instructions on installation and we can provide support assistance to our customers through email or phone. For large projects, we have a staff of 10 installers ready to travel to meet critical projects across the globe. Since mesh backing is the easiest way to install mosaic, we believe that an average mosaic installer is capable in doing the work. We have a 60 day return policy (excluding shipping costs in both directions) in which you may return your mosaic if you are not satisfied with your purchase.
