Looking for an investor or minority partner in online realestate sales venture. I started the company several years ago and have finally

began testing of local real estate sites. You would still consider me to be in a startup stage as development of local sites is nearly

complete. I am currently seeking investment capital for servers, office, and advertising. My goal is to become Number #1 in my particular

area of interest. I am a bit of a novice when it comes to marketing but I currently work for one of the largest internet companies in the

world. So designing website and managing internet companies is what I do for a living.

Here is what I am looking for:

Investment Capital (with buy-in)
Marketing Expertise

I am planning to launch the first of a series of real estate sites in Jan. 2008. If interested please respond. Serious inquires only.

Hi there, this from a start up as well. I am not trying to be mean but...expecting money from an investor for just the basics like a server and an office is asking a lot from an investor. Investors have to see that the people they are investing in are willing to go the extra mile to get the business going with their money as well.

Even though I have an investor, I still pay all of the board meeting and travel related expenses of team members from my personal finances...and those airline miles have been a blessing.

You are starting an online real estate listing service? Do you know that realtor.com is tied in with the MLS (multi-listing-service) ?

Are you providing local services...what is your revenue model? Do you have a partner who understands the real estate market? Understanding your technology is one thing...but you have to understand and know your market (real estate) as well and I don't see that here.

You design websites....what about domain design? Who does that for you?

Yes this is a local real estate listing service for all 50 states and realtor.com would be the big dawg in the market. Our listings service will bring the smaller things to each local market. Realtor.com is great at doing big things but really terrible at the little things. We will be offering a level of exposure that frankly the larger companies cannot provide.

My primary goal is not to fund a technology project but to market the concept. Technology is the tool, what I am looking to partner with is someone who understands how to leverage marketing. And tell the masses why my product is better than Realtor.com. The basic model will be a subscription service with value adds.

And yes I design my own websites, domain design, code, etc.
