Looking for business attorney

Hey guys,

I've looked through my local phone book and called about a dozen offices, but to no avail. No one has experience with Internet business. Who do you turn to for legal matters online? I am looking for a business attorney who may have experience or an expert in the field of Internet business. I'd be grateful if anyone can point me to someone you've hired or know of who does this.

Thanks,
Kevin

Net, That is an interesting question. Since you are looking for an internet attorney,
have you tried Googling "Internet Attorney" There are many listed.
Good luck, LUCKIEST

Since you are in Grand Prairie, try Stanton Goldberg in Dallas. He is a CPA, business, and tax attorney. I know him personally, and he can help with business formulation, etc.
Good luck,
Cliff

I haven't used an attorney in the Dallas area, but would suggest visiting the Dozier Internet Law web site:
http://www.cybertriallawyer.com/
Because so many businesses run into the obstacle that you have (finding a qualified local attorney), Dozier seems to be accustomed to dealing with things long-distance. They're not inexpensive by any means, but they do seem to have Internet Law expertise. Hope this helps. Best wishes.

Thanks for the suggestions guys. I will look into all of your advice. No, I did not do a search for Internet attorneys because I wanted one who I could be in touch with locally and meet face-to-face. The paperwork is a lot easier that way. Thanks for the referrals. I will certainly look into them.

Check out the American Bar Association website. Look under 'technology'. Business attorneys are great but the internet/technology fields are highly specialized..especially when dealing with code and web design licensing.

DD is correct. YourSmallBiz.org markets prepaid legal services for small businesses. The URL is easier than www.PrePaidLegal.com/biz/owensdr97. WWW.GoSmallBiz.com is a partner with PPL for small businesses.

I have clients in Texas but no offices there so, I can't recommend local counsel to you. Do check out my web site at RegulatoryWorld.Biz. Having actually taught other attorneys about internet law, I still may be able to help. Do feel free to contact me.

Try 2024860751 or 9497866461 since they both will find me wherever I am. I do have one meeting tomorrow from 1PM to 3PM Central Time so, plan accordingly. Thank you.
