Google pictures - Sesame Street characters??

Every day Google changes their picture. Yesterday they had Big Bird's legs and today there is Cookie Monster. Does anyone know why the Sesame Street characters are highlighted this week? Curious

It is Sesame Streets 40th anniversary this week...I think it was Nov. 10, 1969 that it first aired.

Happy Anniversary Sesame Street. I noticed too, and thought it was a new marketing tactic aimed at children. But, this makes sense. Bert and Ernie are on today.
