TA POS:

Sorry for the previous post. Not sure why there is all the extra coding in it. Here's another copy of the list of a couple of different PR submission sites in case you couldn't read the first reply:

PR Web
PR News Wire
PR.com
Naked PR
Mashable
Avangate.com
PR-Inside.com
FreePressRelease.com*
PitchEngine.com*
WebWire.com*

  • Indicates sites where you can submit for free

Some sites will specialize in specific markets. For example. La Comunidad Online has a PR program for creating and submitting press releases, articles and interviews if you focus on the US Hispanic market. So it can depend on who your target audience is when deciding which service to use.

The other alternative is to establish and build a rapport with reports, editors and bloggers that write to your target audience and then submit your PRs to them.

Hope this helps.

I have a couple of suggestions on this. First off, there are tons of free press release services out there, and if you use them it will be a lucky thing if the Press Release gets attention. Some are better than others.

I like PRWeb over all the rest because they have the overall best reach and potential for Buzz

Just opening an account is free, then you can use the site's extensive resources to educate yourself on how it should be written, and what happens to it after it is submitted. There are varied levels of impact according to the options you select. Open the Free Account first, then study the site. A good plan.

Another one that costs $200 is Newswire and it is somewhat similar to PRWeb, but they have staff writers who will interview you after the purchase to write a special article about your company and the release. This site has good reach and comprehensive database of websites and media contacts. There are no varied levels of service. Only the $200 option.

I have used the free services myself, and in my case, the best results were when I used PRWeb. That is just my opinion, and you won't have to look too hard to get someone to disagree. Hope this is helpful.
