I know that getting people to link back to your website, is not the easiest thing to do. Google pagerank takes backlinks into factor ... So I am wondering if anyone would like to trade links?

I have several websites:

http://www.theserviceplus.com
http://www.endchapter.net
http://www.energyround.com

and I would like to exchange links to anyone seriously interested.

njwebdesign@yahoo.com you can email me here.

Link exchange has a too little power in SEO if you want my opinion and need to be chosen carefully.

First use this tool to check for bad neighborhood links at: http://www.bad-neighborhood.com/text-link-tool.htm

Place link related to your field, page or subject and avoid link exchange looking like a directory.

I downloaded SEO quake, and I've read a bit about how it supposed to work. Im using macintosh, does anyone know any good SEO programs to analyze websites, keywords, backlinks, etc?
I know i need to stay away from portals, as they will hurt me more than help... Is it true that Google is getting rid of Page Ranks?

Personality I don't use SEO programs because you will need to spend continuously the updates, and search engines are changing all the time their algorithm. You can be also banned if you use automatic queries from your SEO program.

You can use tools on internet like:
http://www.keywordspy.com/
http://www.online-utility.org/webmaster/backlink_host_ip_analyzer.jsp
http://www.vaughns-1-pagers.com/internet/google-ranking-factors.htm (*Google Ranking Factors - SEO Checklist)*

You should read all the tips from Cricket Walker at http://www.website-development-training.com/ which is very knowledgeable about SEO and she is administrator from one of the best webmaster development forum.

Good luck

On the SEO checklist you shared with me. It says in your domain name "first word is best, second word is second best"

my question is, what about sub domains? will these benefit me?

Instead of using http://www.theserviceplus.com/products.html as a menu item link ...
If I use http://Rheem.TheServicePlus.com

or instead of using http://www.theserviceplus.com/latest/energy-management-energy-savings.html as a menu item link ...
If I use http://NJCleanEnergy.TheServicePlus.com

will these count / rank higher if the address uses the sub domain format?

Thank you for being such a great help NatOnline

Nat thank you so much for your great advice. It is really appreciated.

One of the links you shared with me (SEO Checklist) mentions on the first of the list:
the number one factor is having keyword in the url...

I was wondering... since i already have been using the domain name "theserviceplus.com"

would it benefit me to create sub domain urls? for example: njcleanenergy.theserviceplus.com or rheem.theserviceplus.com
this way, it places keywords in front of my domain name... I am not asking you to analyze my keywords, just the technique i am suggesting.

In more detail: A main menu item link called "Home Energy Audit" links to the page "http://theserviceplus.com/latest/home-energy-audit.html"
would it benefit me greater to make the menu item link "http://energy.theserviceplus.com" as the URL pointing to the article?

1 Keyword in URL First word is best, second is second best, etc.
