Where Do I find a Clothing Wholesaler For My New Store?

I am currently starting a high end clothing store, and I am looking for an offshore Wholesaler/manufacturer that I can purchase high end men's and women's Clothing from. Do you know anyone or know where the majority of clothing stores get their clothing from?

I would suggest you look in three places.

1) Trade associations - they usually have contacts and information regarding all the players in their industry including wholesalers.

2) Trade shows - attend these show and seek and communicate with the international wholesalers.

3) Import/Export groups - they would have great information on legitimate wholesalers - try,

Major cities will have a "showmart" in them where agents have an office and showroom to display the lines they represent.

You can also register as a buyer and attend "Magic" in Las Vegas http://www.magiconline.com/ the Philadelphia Buyers Market http://www.americancraft.com/BMAC http://www.mbfashionweek.com/newyork/ or pne of hte other shows held around the US.
